RESIDENCY FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN PUPPETRY IN NORWAY<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In order to foster lasting ties between artists and writers from Quebec and Norway, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Qu\u00e9bec has entered into a collaboration agreement with Fossekleiva kultursenter (Norway) to establish a specialized residency program in puppetry arts.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of this agreement, one or two artists from Norway will stay in Quebec at the Fabrique de th\u00e9\u00e2tre insolite. This cross-residency agreement has been concluded for an initial three-year cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal of this residency is to enable a puppeteer to spend two months in Norway with an artistic partner of their choice. Quebec puppeteers who wish to participate in this residency have until March 20, 2025, to submit their application for a stay in the fall of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR UP-AND-COMING PUPPETRY ARTISTS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

With the aim of supporting the professionalization of emerging artists and companies, developing a network of puppet-friendly venues, and promoting the art of puppetry to multidisciplinary presenters, the Quebec Puppeteers Association (AQM) is launching a brand-new residency program dedicated to emerging artists and companies, in partnership with Casteliers, L\u2019Illusion, Les Sages Fous, and La Rubrique. This unique initiative is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Quebec Arts and Letters Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is open to all emerging artists and companies who are members of the AQM and who are proposing a performance project at an intermediate or advanced stage of the creative process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Residency as part of the Micro-Festival of Unfinished Puppets:<\/strong> Approximately one-week residencies in the fall organized in advance of the festival. (Approximately 4 projects selected per year)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mentoring:<\/strong> To support an artist or company over several years in the development of a project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative Residency – First Steps:<\/strong> For a first residency at La Fabrique, a starting point where artists explore their creative project. (Two to three projects selected per year)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creative residency – Exploration:<\/strong> For a company or artist who has already had initial contact with Les Sages Fous, one-off support to further develop a work in progress. (Two to three projects selected per year)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n
